Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp decline on Monday, following a similar trend in international markets. The price of gold per tola in the local market fell by Rs4,300, settling at Rs278,400.
Likewise, 10-gram gold saw a reduction of Rs3,657, bringing its price to Rs238,683, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This decline comes after an increase on Saturday, when the price of gold per tola rose by Rs2,200 to reach Rs282,700.
Internationally, gold rates also dropped on Monday. The APGJSA reported the price at $2,672 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting a decrease of $43 during the day.
Silver prices also fell, dropping by Rs50 to Rs3,400 per tola.
Notably, gold reached a record high of Rs287,900 per tola in Pakistan last month.
