RAWALPINDI: Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that after the disqualification of the Chief Minister, the election of Gilgit-Baltistan will conduct a post-mortem of democracy.
In his message on the social networking site Twitter, Awami League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that the police locked the assembly in Gilgit-Baltistan. The speaker stood outside and stared. Like the Karachi election, the majority in Gilgit-Baltistan will also be turned into a minority.
In a Twitter message, former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that the election of the mayor of Karachi, the election of Kashmir, and now the election of Gilgit-Baltistan will do the post-mortem of democracy. PML-N wants to capture the Chief Minister’s seat from 3 seats in Gilgit-Baltistan. it will not happen.

The former interior minister said that the PML-N does not know how sensitive a region Gilgit-Baltistan is. “In world politics, one needs to understand its geography. Before August 12, the PDM would have fallen apart. The whole nation understands the situation very well,” he added.
Sheikh Rasheed said that the nation is silent waiting for time. “Those rejected faces, hated by the people, are again plotting to impose themselves on the government through the backdoor. People’s desires are being bloodied,” he asserted.
Sheikh Rasheed said that when a way is made for unknown people, the problems become more serious and complicated and the country enters the closed street. “When the caretaker government comes in, the issue of whether the election is transparent or not will become clear,” he maintained.
He said that those who could not manage the rainwater, will not be able to understand the political revolution of the people. According to him, the problems of the people are becoming more and more serious. “The government did not improve the situation in a year and a half, what sword will they wield in a month?” he asked.
“The former interior minister said that the estimates will prove to be wrong and the PDM will remain silent,” he said by adding, “Wishes may become news, but in reality, decisions in a democracy are made by the people under the constitution and law.”
