A man was lynched by a mob in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Galiyat region after allegedly killing a young man during a dispute over car parking.
The incident occurred in the Seer Gharbi area within the jurisdiction of Changla Gali police station, according to a report by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on Sunday.
Police said that the altercation began when a local resident, Imran Abbasi, confronted a watchman, identified as Khan Zaman, over a parked car. The dispute escalated, and Khan Zaman allegedly stabbed Imran Abbasi five times, killing him on the spot and injuring his brother.
As news of the killing spread, enraged residents gathered at the scene, setting five houses in the area on fire.

Law enforcement officials arrived promptly and apprehended the suspect, who was hiding in a building’s basement. However, as officers attempted to escort him out, an angry mob overpowered the police and fatally beat the watchman with sticks and stones.
Several police officers sustained injuries in the violence. Authorities later transferred the watchman’s body to Abbottabad Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
