ISLAMABAD: Funeral prayers of former Federal Minister for Home Affairs and Senator Rehman Malik, who died at the age of 70, will be offered today.
According to details, Rehman Malik was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Islamabad, however, his lungs were affected due to coronavirus, and Rehman Malik, one of the political leaders close to Benazir Bhutto, passed away due to illness, which was mourned by prominent personalities.
President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and political leaders from other political parties including PML-N offered condolences on the death of former Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Prominent political leaders and social figures said that Rehman Malik had rendered unforgettable services to the country and the nation by holding the post of Home Minister and then-Senator for a long time. The vacuum created by his death will not be filled in time.
Rehman Malik passed away yesterday due to coronavirus. Malik was placed on a ventilator due to contracting the virus. Many other personalities including PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman also expressed their heartfelt grief over the demise of Rehman Malik.
