Actress Areej Chaudhary has revealed some troubling aspects of the Pakistani showbiz industry, expressing her belief that a significant number of people in the glam world are morally depraved.
In a podcast interview with Suno Digital, the star of “Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum” shared her experiences with casting couch culture, revealing that an older director once suggested she “form relations” with him.
Areej recounted the tale without naming anyone, saying how a director did not propose marriage but instead sent her messages suggesting a casual romantic relationship.

She emphasized the need for resilience and tolerance to survive in the industry, sharing that despite a strong audition, she was denied a role. When she inquired about the reason, the director told her, “You didn’t give me the ‘green signal’; how could I cast you?”
Moreover, during her appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Areej spoke about the prevalence of drug culture in the industry, saying that many feel pressured to use drugs to fit in socially.
