In a heart-wrenching incident in the Duki area of Loralai, four young sisters from the same family drowned while bathing in a creek. Residents of the area recovered the bodies through a self-organized rescue effort.
The tragedy occurred in the Anmbar creek, where the sisters, unaware of the depth of the water, were swept away one after another. The incident has plunged the entire community into mourning.
Local villagers quickly launched a rescue operation on their own and managed to retrieve the bodies, but all four girls had already lost their lives at the scene.
The ages of the deceased ranged between 5 and 11 years. The heartbreaking incident has caused widespread grief, with the victims’ family devastated by the sudden loss.
Last month, at least 18 members of a family drowned in flash floods in river Swat in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The family was part of a tourist group visiting the region and was trapped in the rising waters caused by heavy rains upstream.
