Four levies personnel martyred in armed attack on Khuzdar checkpost

Unknown armed men attacked the Samand Levies checkpost in Khuzdar, resulting in the martyrdom of four Levies personnel, as reported by national media on Saturday. 

According to details, Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Yasir Iqbal Dashti confirmed the tragic incident, stating that the Levies personnel on duty at the Samand checkpost were fired upon by armed attackers from the mountainous area.

He mentioned that an exchange of fire continued for quite some time, but due to the mountainous terrain, the assailants managed to escape. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar, four Levies personnel were martyred in the firing. The area has been cordoned off and the bodies are being shifted to the teaching hospital.

It is worth noting that incidents of terrorism are on the rise in Khuzdar and across Balochistan. Operations against the perpetrators are ongoing. Local residents believe that enforcement of the law is essential to eliminate terrorism, and the current government is taking measures in this regard.
