Former Pakistani captain Mohammad Hafeez lost cash, foreign currency and valuables when burglars broke into his house in the eastern city of Lahore early Tuesday, police said on Tuesday.
As per details, Unknown number of thieves broke into the former Pakistan’s captain house in Defense Lahore and took away 20,000 dollars, 5000 UAE dirham, 4000 pounds, and 3000 euros.
When the robbery occurred, neither Hafeez nor his wife were home. Hafeez’s wife is in Islamabad for some work while he is occupied with the Pakistan Super League.
As soon as the information was received, SHO Defense Police and Forensic Science Agency teams reached the spot and started an investigation after collecting the evidence.
The uncle of the cricketer’s wife filed a complaint at the Defense Police Station.
Further investigation is underway.
It’s worth mentioning that Mohammad Hafeez played a total of 55 Test matches, 218 ODIs and 119 T20 matches for Pakistan during his illustrious career.
