The Federal Ministry of Education has taken a significant step towards inclusive education by abolishing the requirement of ‘Form B’ for admissions in federal public schools. This decision aims to address the growing number of out-of-school children, as highlighted in a recent ministry notification.
The decision to eliminate the mandatory Form B requirement reflects a commitment to ensuring all children in Islamabad, regardless of their documentation status, have access to government schools.
Furthermore, in a move to promote physical fitness among students, the ministry announced that every primary school student under the Federal Directorate of Education will receive a tracksuit in the upcoming academic session. This initiative is part of a broader effort to encourage students to participate in sports activities, fostering healthy lifestyles and cultivating a lifelong passion for physical fitness.
“We aspire for our young students to embrace a sportsperson’s spirit, nurturing their physical and mental well-being,” stated the ministry, emphasizing the importance of integrating physical activities into educational experiences.
These reforms underscore the ministry’s commitment to enhancing educational accessibility and promoting holistic development among school-aged children across federal public schools in Islamabad.
