ISLAMABAD: More than 100 international and local flights have been canceled in the last 4 days due to fog in various cities of the country including the federal capital.
According to details, flight operations are being affected due to heavy fog in different areas of Islamabad and Punjab. Officials said that today 24 flights across the country were canceled due to reduced visibility.
Pilots are facing uncertainty for landing and take-off at Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot airports. Earlier, 88 international and local flights had to be canceled in 3 days. The PIA flight from UAE to Islamabad had to land in Karachi while the private airline’s flight from Jeddah to Islamabad was diverted to Lahore due to which the passengers faced problems.
The Sialkot-bound Muscat flight had to land in Lahore, while the Peshawar-bound Sharjah National Airlines flight was diverted to Karachi. Several flights from the federal capital to various cities have been canceled.
