WASHINGTON: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has arrived in the capital of the United States to attend a meeting in Capitol Hill with senior US officials.
During his visit, the foreign minister will meet Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, other National Security Advisor Robert O’ Brian. He will also focus on Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach between Iran and the US.
Qureshi arrived in the US after visiting Iran and Saudi Arabia, where he met the two countries’ leaders in an effort to ease tensions in the region.
Qureshi is also scheduled to attend the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) session today to discuss the dispute of the Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) in New York.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, presently on a trip to ease tensions between the United States and Iran to interact with UN leaders before heading to Washington.
