Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister, Mullah Amir Khan Muttaqi, during which he briefed him on India’s baseless propaganda against Pakistan.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders spoke over the phone and expressed satisfaction over the improvement in bilateral relations since Ishaq Dar’s visit to Afghanistan on April 19.
The conversation focused on revitalizing cooperation in trade, connectivity, economic engagement, people-to-people ties, and political consultations.
Both sides emphasized the importance of long-term collaboration to promote regional peace and stability and agreed on maintaining high-level contacts.
Foreign Minister Dar also apprised his Afghan counterpart of India’s recent provocative actions and unlawful unilateral measures targeting Pakistan. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace as well as its resolve to defend national sovereignty.
In response, Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi appreciated Pakistan’s proactive steps to facilitate trade and travel between the two countries.
He also extended an invitation to Ishaq Dar to visit Afghanistan once again and conveyed his prayers and best wishes for the government and people of Pakistan.
