The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) announced that UAE-based budget carrier flydubai has officially launched operations to Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport.
The launch marks a significant addition to the airport’s growing international connectivity, with over 75 percent of its flights already serving overseas destinations, according to the PCAA website.
Flydubai will operate daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Peshawar, further strengthening air links between the UAE and Pakistan. The airline’s inaugural flight, FZ 375, landed in Peshawar with 164 passengers on board. In line with aviation tradition, the aircraft was greeted with a ceremonial water cannon salute upon arrival.
To commemorate the occasion, airport authorities held a cake-cutting ceremony, highlighting the importance of the new route for both travelers and regional connectivity.
The PCAA also confirmed that efforts are underway to expand flight operations from Peshawar to additional destinations in the Gulf and Europe, aiming to facilitate greater travel and trade opportunities for the region.
Following its arrival, flight FZ 375 departed Bacha Khan International Airport back to Dubai at 2:20 a.m. PKT, carrying 184 passengers, signaling a strong start to the new route.
