A deaf and mute Indian citizen was swept in Pakistan in the floodwater of Sutlej River.
According to police, the Indian citizen has been transferred to an ID center. The man demonstrated through expressions that he is an Indian citizen who was washed into Pakistan in flowing floodwater.
The authorities have provided clothes and food to the missing person for his well-being.
On the other hand, due to heavy monsoon rains, the water level of the Indus River has risen again, and the water inflow at the Head Sulemanki’s location was recorded at 71,604 and the outflow at 62,639 cusecs, raising concerns about lower-level flooding in Head Sulemanki and Bahawalnagar district borders.
According to rescue sources, several settlements have been affected by the flooding in Bahawalnagar, and areas connected to the riverbank in Pakpattan are also submerged.
