At least five including three schoolchildren were killed and several others were injured in the Mastung, Balochistan blast on Friday.
As per details, an explosion occurred near the Girls High School at the Civil Hospital Chowk in Mastung. A police van was the target of the blast.
As a result, five people including three schoolchildren, one policeman, and a passerby were killed while at least 14 people have so far been injured in the attack, destroying the police vehicle. The police said the majority of injured include schoolchildren.
All injured have been transferred to Civil Hospital, where emergency has been enforced.
Hospital sources said that the policeman and three children died on the spot, while a child succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The police wagon was destroyed in the blast while several other vehicles and rickshaws have been damaged.
The sound of the explosion was heard in nearby areas.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed his grief on the loss of life in the blast.
In his message to the families of the policeman and the children the chief minister said that the killers would not be spared.
