Football World Cup captains to wear anti-discrimination armbands

Football is the most popular sport in the world, with an estimated following of 4 billion fans. Now, sports lovers are looking forward to the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Nowadays football fans are very happy because FIFA World Cup 2022 is starting exactly 5 months later, let’s know some important information about this World Cup:

FIFA World Cup 2022

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be played in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, with a total of 32 teams including the host team Qatar qualifying for the tournament, which will be the biggest football event in the Middle East for the first time.

Qatar is also the second Asian country to host the tournament after the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea and Japan.

Qualified teams?

Former World Cup winner France has qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but current European champion Italy failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. In the finals, 32 teams are divided into four groups, while teams from the same continent are placed in separate groups.

FIFA World Cup qualifiers include Qatar,  Germany, Denmark, Belgium, France, Brazil, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, England, Switzerland, Netherlands, Argentina, Iran, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Canada.  These include Ghana, Senegal, Portugal, Poland, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon, USA, Mexico, Wales, Australia and Costa Rica.

Favorite team of FIFA World Cup?

Brazil is said to be the favorite for the FIFA World Cup 2022. According to football experts, the Brazilian team may surprise the football lovers the most this year.

Four teams have been named favorites for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, including Argentina, Germany, Brazil, and France.

FIFA World Cup and eight stadiums in Qatar

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be played in eight beautiful and modern football stadiums in Qatar from November 21 to December 18 this year. Four group matches will be played on a daily basis from November 21 to December 2. In which, 32 out of 32 teams will play three matches in their respective groups.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, which will be played from December 3 to 6.

The top eight teams of the event will face each other in the quarter-finals on December 9 and 10. The semi-finals of the mega event will be held on December 13 and 14 in which the winning team of each quarter final will participate. The final of the World Cup will be played on December 18 in which both the semi-final winning teams will compete for the trophy.

Highlights of FIFA World Cup 2022

According to international media reports, the FIFA World Cup will be played from November 21 to December 18, 2022. This will be the first FIFA World Cup to be played in the winter. The decision was made because the hot weather in Qatar will be difficult for European players to endure.

According to reports, although the World Cup is scheduled to take place in winter, Qatar is one of the warmest countries in the world in terms of weather, and therefore daytime temperatures are often higher even in winter. That is why Qatar has to spend an estimated $220 billion on infrastructure to host the football World Cup in the country and has made every stadium air-conditioned.

Qatar and the FIFA Organizing Committee have reached an agreement under which drinking will be allowed in some tourist areas.

Favourite players for World Cup 2022

Kylian Mbappe (France), Lionel Messi (Argentina), Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Vinicius Jr. (Brazil), Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands), Neymar (Brazil), Pedri (Spain), Karim Benzema (France), Luka Modric (Croatia), Alphonso Davies (Canada), Christian Pulisic (USA), Son Heung-min (South Korea), and Harry Kane (England).

Who will represent Pakistan?

In the Football World Cup 2022 to be held in Qatar, Sialkot-based football ‘Al Rihla’ will be used, thus Pakistan will be represented in the international event.

Sheikh Zohaib Rafiq Sethi, Senior Vice President, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that this is not the first time that football made in Sialkot is being used, adding that this is the third time that Forward Sports The brand will be used.

According to him, the ball is made up of 20 panels and has been declared one of the best football in the world.
