The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered a case against a senior female officer for allegedly holding two government positions simultaneously and illegally drawing dual salaries over an extended period.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the FIA’s Anti-Corruption Circle in Peshawar, the accused, Hajra Sarwar, daughter of Ghulam Sarwar Khan, is currently serving as a Deputy Director at the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Investigations revealed that Hajra Sarwar was employed concurrently at CAR and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) — both government-affiliated entities. She allegedly received financial benefits from both institutions in violation of public service regulations.
Documents obtained from CAR and records available on the PCB’s official website confirmed that she drew salaries from 2001 to 2008, and again up to 2017, while serving both roles.
These actions constitute a violation of the Civil Servants (Conduct) Rules, 1964, which prohibit holding dual positions in public service.
Authorities confirmed that the accused fled to the United Kingdom before formal legal proceedings could begin.
