LAHORE: A private school female teacher Safoora Taimur was tragically shot and killed, reportedly by an unidentified man in Multan on Wednesday.
The incident took place as she was on her way to school in New Shah Shams Colony. Cantonment Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Majeed suggested in a preliminary statement that the suspect and victim may have been acquainted. He noted that the fatal shot to her head pointed to a possible targeted killing.
According to police, the attack occurred around 7:30 a.m. The unidentified assailant had been following Safoora before he drew a gun and shot her in the head. Following the shooting, he took her mobile phone and fled. Safoora died instantly, collapsing on the spot.
CCTV footage showed the suspect trailing her for some time. Safoora appeared aware of being followed, glancing back at him multiple times before the fatal encounter. The video captures the suspect approaching, firing the fatal shot, and then escaping with her phone.
