Female doctor raped in her home, suspect arrested

ISLAMABAD: A female doctor was sexually abused at her residence while the main suspect has been arrested.

The woman, Dr Nasreen Kausar, is a resident of Dhoke Ramzanian in Tarnol in Sector G10/3 where she lives with her husband.

The woman alleged that on 7th October, a man named Amir forcefully entered her house and threatened her with a knife. The suspect then took her to a room where he raped her and then threatened to kill her if she raised a hue and cry and informed anyone.

The woman resisted and ran off and called the police emergency helpline. Police reached promptly at her residence and rescued the woman. The culprit who was still present there was arrested and has been transferred to police lockup.

After the medical test was conducted, the woman lodged a case against Amir under Section 376 (Punishment for rape). The women appealed for justice saying she belongs to a respectable family and her life has been destroyed.
