ISLAMABAD: A nationwide Ehsaas Targeted Subsidy Program has been approved during a meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to details, an important meeting of the federal cabinet was held under the chairmanship of PM Imran Khan in which consultations and important decisions were taken. During the meeting, PM reviewed the political and economic situation of the country including the agreement with the banned TLP.
Moreover, according to a statement issued after the federal cabinet meeting, the cabinet members gave in-principle approval to the Ehsaas Targeted Subsidy Program across the country. Adding to that members vow to provide relief to the poor to protect them from the effects of inflation.

While, during the Cabinet meeting, approval was given to appoint Ehasas Ordinance 2021 and Dr. Inayat Hussain was appointed as Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan. Furthermore, it was informed that as compared to other countries in the region, the prices of essential commodities in Pakistan are low.
Though, It was decided in the meeting that the buildings used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense would be maintained by the concerned ministries. Meanwhile, PM Imran Khan, declared it necessary to take NOC before starting the construction project for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense. A committee was also set up to formulate an allotment policy for employees.
