Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has approved the schedule for the National Assembly session regarding the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq announced that the federal budget for the next fiscal year will be presented in the National Assembly on June 10.
He further said that the debate on the federal budget will begin on June 13, and time will be allocated to parliamentary parties in accordance with the rules and procedures. The debate will conclude on June 21.
The Speaker added that discussions and voting on demands for grants and cut motions will take place on June 24 and 25, while the Finance Bill will be passed by the National Assembly on June 26.
He also noted that on June 27, discussions and voting on supplementary grants and other related matters will be held.
Meanwhile, the government will launch the Pakistan Economic Survey 2024-25 today (Monday) in the afternoon.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will release the Economic Survey-2024-25 at a ceremony to be held in Islamabad at 2:30pm, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Finance.
