ISLAMABAD: PTI Senator Azam Swati failed to get quick relief from Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday in a petition which sought him not to re-locate due to multiple FIRs registered across the country on same subject.
Azam Swati, it may be recalled, had approached the Islamabad High Court yesterday fearing that he could be killed in the custody, asking the IHC to stop police from transferring him to any other place.

He had alleged that since he was the subject of an investigation by the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), and since he had experienced the harshest torture while in captivity, he could be subjected to any sort of inhuman treatment.
Azam Swati requested the IHC to seek details of the cases registered against him across the country.

During the course of hearing today, the IHC ordered Deputy Attorney General to submit answers about the authority of the interior ministry, and if secretary interior could issue directives to provincial Inspectors General of Police, or not.
The hearing was later adjourned until Friday.
