ISLAMABAD: Fazlur Rehman has convened a meeting of the PDM today while Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the PPP will not attend the meeting of the opposition alliance.
According to details, the PPP’s distance from the PDM weakened the opposition alliance. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief and chairman PDM Fazlur Rehman has convened a summit today to consider the anti-government strategy.
In today’s meeting PDM chaired by Fazlur Rehman, new decisions will be taken to give tough time to the government. Adoption of a unified policy on the Afghan conflict will also be considered and future political strategy and current situation will be considered.

On the other hand, the PPP chairman is adamant about his decision not to attend the PDM summit. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that we respect Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PPP does not follow anyone’s lead. We will not attend the meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Earlier, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari slammed the opposition Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), saying “We did not request to return to the PDM, nor did we express any desire. What is it? If the PDM has to follow the PPP’s position, then join the PPP.”
Talking to the media two months ago today, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the solution to economic problems lies with the PPP. “Our former allies are also abiding by our decision. If we had resigned, PTI would have got an open field,” he added.
