ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will be held today under the chairmanship of Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad.
The political situation of the country will be considered during the meeting.
According to details, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will brief the opposition leaders on their contacts with government allies. The top leadership of PML-N, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader and other leadership of PDM will attend the meeting.
PML-N leader and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will also attend the PDM meeting via video link from London. Other issues including a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister and number game will be considered during the meeting.

Separately, Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a meeting of the PTI’s political committee today to discuss issues of the no-confidence motion and number game presented by the opposition in the National Assembly session.
According to details, the political crisis in the country has intensified after the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan was tabled in the National Assembly. Political committee members will be taken into confidence on the nomination of Prime Minister Pervez Elahi as Chief Minister and other issues will also come on the discussion.
The political committee meeting will be attended by key federal ministers and the central leadership of PTI. The prime minister will also give new tasks to the committee members on liaison with allies and dissident members of the National Assembly, with the aim of getting the country out of the political crisis.
