Fawad Khan, the acclaimed Pakistani actor, is set to make his much-anticipated return to Bollywood in a new romantic comedy, starring alongside Indian actress Ridhi Dogra.
This film marks Khan’s first Bollywood project since his appearance in Karan Johar’s 2016 romantic drama “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, where he shared the screen with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
According to Hindustan Times, Fawad and Ridhi will play the lead roles, with all formalities for the project already completed. Filming is expected to begin by the end of this year, with the movie slated for release in late 2025 or early 2026.
It should be noted that the duo will not be filming any scenes in India; the entire shoot has been scheduled for international locations. “The project will be shot in several places, including New York and London, fitting the theme of the rom-com,” the report states.
Earlier this year, rumors also circulated about Khan starring in another project alongside Vaani Kapoor, with sources confirming to Filmfare that production would start soon.
Fawad Khan rose to prominence with popular TV dramas like “Humsafar” and “Zindagi Gulzar Hai”, earning critical acclaim and a devoted fan base.
