Top Pakistani notable celebrities have been selected for country’s Best Foreign Language Film submission at the 2024 Oscars by the Pakistani Academy Selection Committee (PASC).
The committee, headed by Chairman Mo Naqvi, has a talented and diverse group of people from Pakistan’s media and entertainment sector. Fawad Khan and Ahmed Ali Akbar, two well-known actors, are among the newly announced committee members.
The group also includes distinguished filmmakers Bilal Lashari and Saim Sadiq as well as renowned author and Bailey Prize nominee Fatima Bhutto.

The committee has enlisted multifaceted artist Nadia Afghan, event director, producer, and activist Frieha Altaf, renowned filmmaker and co-founder of the Documentary Association of Pakistan Haya Fatima, award-winning documentary filmmaker, journalist, and cultural critic Madeeha Syed, and award-winning producer, director, and editor Mehreen Jabbar to choose Pakistan’s official Oscar entry.
