ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has requested the National Assembly to replace Shehbaz Sharif as the opposition leader.
In this regard, Fawad Chaudhry had written a letter to the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser to replace the opposition leader from his designation.
In a tweet, the federal minister confirmed writing the letter to the speaker of NA to replace Shehbaz Sharif as he had not been attending any parliamentary sessions since November last year.
He further said that either Shehbaz Sharif should be asked the exact date of his arrival or he should be replaced with immediate effect as he informed earlier he would arrive in February then later he extended his arrival to March.
Shehbaz Sharif left for London along with his ailing brother Nawaz Sharif in November 2019 since then both brothers have not returned to the country yet.
