ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has held the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) accountable for journalist Aziz Memon’s murder.
Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet claimed that the murder investigations of journalist Aziz Memon should be probed as the deceased’s brother was completely dissatisfied with the investigations.
Chaudhry revealed that he had talked to Memon’s brother three days ago. He demanded the Sindh government explain their position regarding this matter and showed no affiliation in it.
Chaudhry earlier asked the Supreme Court for the deceased’s journlist case to be tried as the accused had accused the PPP of threatening him.Â
Months earlier, Memon released a video in which he claimed that the PPP and local police had threatened him over his reporting.
Last month, Memon’s body was found dumped in an irrigation canal soon after he was dropped off for work. The incident occurred in Mehrabpur city in Naushahro Firoz district. His body was recovered with a wire tied around the neck, showing signs of strangulation.
