The father of Noor Mukadam has challenged the bail granted to Therapy Works CEO Tahir Zahoor and five others in his daughter’s murder case.
Noor’s father Shoukat Ali Mukadam approached the Islamabad High Court against the bail of the Therapy Works’ six workers who got bail on Monday after submitting surety bonds worth Rs500,000 each.
In his plea, Shoukat Ali Mukadam stated that the additional sessions court did not follow the principle laid down in the numerous judgments of Superior Courts with regard to entertaining and deciding the Post Arrest bail applications. He also pointed out that the additional sessions judge overstepped in his verdict by making observations regarding the evaluation of evidence.
Shoukat Mukadam in his application said that the Therapy Works CEO and employees are misusing their bail and are threatening the petitioner with dire consequences. Islamabad police had arrested the first therapy center employee in the Noor Muqadam case. Police said that on the day of the murder of employee Noor Muqaddam, a team from the therapy center had reached the spot.
