MUMBAI: Bollywood actor, director, and producer Farhan Akhtar is reportedly working with Walt Disney’s Marvel Studious in Bangkok, according to Indian media.
A source confirmed to an Indian newspaper that Farhan Akhtar had already departed for Bangkok from Mumbai. “Farhan is currently stationed in Bangkok, along with an international cast and crew, for the shoot of a project with Marvel Studios,” it added.
“All other details of the project are strictly under wraps,” the source added. However, the film Dil Chahta Hai maker has not revealed anything about this new project yet.
While no confirmation is forthcoming about the name of the project, it was earlier reported that Ms Marvel’s additional filming will be done in Thailand from March.
Although many characters, including Carol Danvers, the current Captain Marvel, have held the mantle of Ms Marvel, the series is about Kamala Khan’s iteration of the character. The character debuted in a 2015 comic series by G. Willow Wilson (writer) and Adrian Alphona (artist).
She was the first Muslim Marvel superhero to have her own comic series. She is a Pakistani-American teenage from Jersey City, New Jersey. Ms Marvel is expected to arrive on Disney+ Hotstar in late 2021.
Marvel Studios is known for the production of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Their movies, like Avengers, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and more, are loved across the globe for their phenomenal work.
