Wajeeha Amir, the mother of slain youth Mustafa Amir, has demanded the death penalty for Armaghan Qureshi, the primary accused in her son’s murder.Â
Accompanied by a social welfare organization, the family staged a protest at Karachi’s Teen Talwar, calling for justice for Mustafa Amir, who was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by his friends in Karachi’s Defense Housing Authority (DHA) on January 6.
Protesters held placards and banners demanding Armaghan Qureshi’s execution. The demonstration also featured a candlelight vigil in Mustafa Amir’s memory, with his mother leading the call for justice.
Speaking at the protest, she described her son’s murder as a planned conspiracy, questioning how Armaghan, allegedly under the influence of drugs, managed to reach Balochistan without prior intent. She further stated that execution was too lenient a punishment for him, warning that his release would pose an even greater threat.
