Tunisian police have arrested a fake spiritual healer who lured girls through TikTok by promising cures for spiritual illnesses and black magic.
The arrest came after a university student filed a complaint against the suspect, who operated a TikTok account under the name “Spiritual Healer.”
According to the student’s report, the man sexually assaulted and physically abused her after gaining her trust.
The victim stated that she first contacted the fake healer via TikTok, where he claimed he could relieve her troubles through “Ruqyah Shariah” (spiritual healing).
The student mentioned that following the recent death of her father, she had been under intense mental stress, which led her to seek help from the alleged healer.
She revealed that during their meeting, the accused exploited her psychological vulnerability and sexually assaulted her. He also falsely promised marriage, resulting in the girl becoming pregnant.
The suspect, now in custody, reportedly filmed the victim and used the footage to blackmail her. Investigations further revealed that he targeted other girls using similar tactics.
