In Lahore, police have arrested a fake spiritual healer who was harassing women and girls under the guise of providing amulets and spiritual remedies, while secretly recording inappropriate videos of them.
According to the police, the suspect, Naseer Ahmed, posed as a spiritual healer to exploit women and girls. Victims reported that the fake healer used the pretext of offering amulets and spiritual rituals to record indecent videos of women, which he later used to blackmail them for money.
A case has been registered against the suspect at Mughalpura Police Station in Lahore, and he has been handed over to the investigation wing for further inquiry.
It is important to note that incidents of harassment, sexual violence, and abuse, particularly involving women, girls, and children, have been on the rise in Pakistan as well as in the broader region.
