In Faisalabad, two suspects, including the main accused, Ali Sher, have been arrested in connection with the alleged gang rape of a woman, while the search for the third suspect is ongoing, as reported by national media.
According to the a report on Saturday, three days ago, near the motorway, three suspects stopped a husband and wife traveling on a motorcycle, tied up the husband, and allegedly subjected his wife to gang rape.
The victim’s husband stated that on March 25, he was bringing his wife home from work when two robbers stopped them on a service road near their house and started beating him.
Despite handing over their mobile phone and cash, all three suspects still subjected his wife to rape. The victim woman reported that the perpetrators were calling their third accomplice by the name “Rana.”
The police spokesperson stated that the main suspect, Ali Sher, was arrested yesterday. When the police showed the victim a video of another assault committed by the accused, she identified him.
According to the police, a mobile phone that was snatched from the woman during the robbery has been recovered from the second suspect. The arrested main accused, Ali Sher, identified his accomplice, Faisal, as being involved in the crime.
