KARACHI: The mother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Faisal Vawda passed away in Karachi.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “My beloved mother breathed her last today… She was in coma for several days.”
Funeral prayers for his mother will be held tomorrow (Thursday, September 9) at Ayesha Masjid, Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase-7 at 1PM after Zuhr prayer, he added.

Her namaz-e-janaza will be held tomorrow 9th September, Thursday at Ayesha Masjid Khayaban-e-Ittehad DHA Phase 7 at 1pm.

Vawda thanked his well-wishers for their messages on the passing of his mother. “Means a lot to me. My apologies if I can’t respond to all of you individually. Duas requested,” he said.
After his tweet, Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned him and expressed his condolences over the sad demise of his mother.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib expressed his grief over the sad demise of Senator Faisal Vawda’s mother in a tweet.
In addition, Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid also expressed sorrow over the demise of Faisal Vawda’s mother. In a tweet, he prayed for her high ranks in heaven.
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has also expressed his condolences with the PTI leader. “Sad to hear about your loss. May Allah Almighty rest her soul in peace & give you and the bereaved family patience & fortitude to bear this loss,” said the PML-N leader.
