QUETTA: Former Home Minister of Balochistan and Senator Sarfraz Bugti has come to defend ISI officer Major General Faisal Naseer and blasted campaign against him on social media.
Taking to Twitter, he said “I know many people will not like what I am going to tweet. But I will tweet the truth no matter how unpopular, unliked or bitter it is. There is so much hype, misrepresentation of facts and baseless allegations against Major General Faisal Naseer. “

Sarfraz Bugti said that Major General Faisal was recently promoted from Brigadier rank and assigned duty of DG C, most important after DG ISI, was a career officer of Corps of Military Intelligence. During his assignments in Intelligence he was instrumental against terrorists in Sindh and Balochistan.

He said “I am personally privy to some of his work during my tenure as Home Minister Balochistan. He was nick named as super spy due to his excellent & professional work. But unfortunately my fellow Senator Azam Swati, Chairman PTI Imran Khan and other PTI leadership have launched malicious baseless campaign for petty political gains against Major General Faisal Naseer. This campaign is only in actual benefiting our enemy India.”
Senator Sarfraz Bugti advised that “do protest and politics, but do consider twice when you are selling venom against your own son of soil who worked hard day and night for state of Pakistan.”
He said Maj General Faisal Naseer was a decorated hero, “please don’t let your political anger drive you to wrong direction.”
