Israel’s military headquarters were hit after Iran’s Islamic Republic launched a barrage of missiles targeting central Tel Aviv late Friday night, inflicting extensive damage on the complex known as the Kiryat, which serves as Israel’s equivalent of the Pentagon.
Footage circulating on social media depicted a missile strike impacting an area that houses multiple military installations, including the main command center of the Israel Defense Forces.
The videos showed interceptor missiles being launched moments before a blinding flash, a loud explosion, and the detonation of an incoming warhead.
“This is Israel’s version of the Pentagon, the Kiryat, and the building on this compound was just hit,” said Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst, reporting from the location.
Following the destruction of IDF’s Kiryat, Israel has reportedly set up new headquarter under the Ichilove Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Israel’s attacks, which began on Friday, were aimed at sabotaging nuclear talks with the U.S. that were to resume in Oman on Sunday, and which have now been cancelled. He said Israel’s attacks had the support of the U.S. and that Iran was acting only in self-defense.
Araqchi has previously said the Oman talks could not take place while Iran was being subjected to Israel’s “barbarous” attacks.
