American actress Sydney Sweeney broke down in tears and responded to the cyberbullies who called her ugly on social media after she found out she was trending on Twitter for her physical appearance.
The Euphoria star took to social media and talked about being trolled for her looks. One troll called her ‘ugly’ and a ‘Muppet’ in a tweet that went viral. However, Twitter has removed the offensive tweet for violating the platform’s policies. “Apparently I am trending on Twitter right now for being ugly,” said Sydney Sweeney with a teary eye on Instagram Live stream.

23-year-actress tearfully shared, “Apparently, I am trending on Twitter right now for being ugly…I know everyone says, ‘You can’t read things,’ and ‘You shouldn’t read things,’ but like, I’m a person.”

Although the star explained that she usually wouldn’t address this sort of criticism, she said she found it important to speak out on the issue of social media, stating, “I think it’s really important for people to see how words actually affect people.”
The viral tweet that sparked the negative conversation has reportedly been removed due to violating Twitter’s guidelines. In spite of that, however, the star was most recently trending on the platform due to a multitude of appreciation posts dedicated to uplifting her in the aftermath.
