The Punjab Mass Transit Authority has announced the Eid-ul-Fitr schedule for the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Service, while the Motorway Police has issued travel guidelines to ensure a safe holiday for all travelers.
During the Eid holidays, the Metro Bus Service will operate with a modified schedule on the first day. On Monday, March 31, 2025, the first day of Eid, the service will run from 9 AM to 10 PM, with a three-hour delay from its usual timings. Starting on the second day of Eid, the service will return to its regular hours, operating from 6 AM to 10 PM.
Moreover, the BRT service in Peshawar will extend its hours on Chaand Raat (Sunday), running until 11 PM. On Eid’s first day, the BRT will begin at 10 AM and will return to its normal schedule on the second and third days of Eid.
Meanwhile, the Motorway Police has issued travel guidelines to help ensure a safe journey. Drivers are encouraged to check their vehicle’s engine oil, water levels, tire condition, air pressure, and brakes before setting out.

The Motorway Police also reminds travelers to use seat belts, observe speed limits, maintain safe distances from other vehicles, and adhere to lane regulations. For light vehicles, the speed limit on 3-lane motorways is 120 km/h, while heavy vehicles are limited to 110 km/h.
