ISLAMABAD: Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood has decided that the educational institutions will reopen in the first week of September.
An inter-provincial education ministers conference was held in Islamabad today in which it was decided that all educational institutions will be reopened on 1st September with strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including schools, colleges, and universities.

The decision of the conference will be analyzed by the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) tomorrow. Moreover, there will be two more inter-provincial conferences held before September to further evaluate the situation.
The dates can be changed with respect to the intensity of coronavirus pandemic, sources added. The schools were suddenly closed at the end of March by the federal government due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
The National Coordination Committee, in its fifth meeting, reviewed the situation of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country and decided to keep all educational intuitions till the end of May.
