ISLAMABAD: A meeting of provincial education ministers will be held today to decide whether to open educational institutions across the country or not.
According to details, the situation of coronavirus and implementation of SOPs will be reviewed during the meeting of provincial education ministers before the opening of schools and other educational institutions.
The meeting of provincial education ministers, chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, will consider important issues related to educational institutions across the country. Mahmood said that he wanted to continue the educational process across the country.

The education minister said that the final decision on whether or not to open educational institutions will be made on the basis of health. “Nothing is more important to the government than the health of the students,” he maintained.
The Punjab Cabinet Committee has approved the opening of educational institutions across the province from 18th January. Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen has said that the opening of educational institutions is likely to increase the number of coronavirus cases.
