ISLAMABAD: A 7-member delegation of PML-N will meet the Chief Election Commissioner and members today to discuss the schedule and date of the elections.
The Election Commission will consult with the Muslim League-N on the election process today, The 7-member party delegation of the PML-N will meet the Chief Election Commissioner and members at 11 a.m. today.
The delegation includes Ahsan Iqbal, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, Zahid Hamid, Ranasthanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Engineer Amir Makam, and Attaullah Tarar.
In the meeting, the PML-N delegation will be consulted about the schedule and date of the elections and the Election Commission will also consult on the road map of the upcoming elections.
On August 29, the Election Commission also sent an invitation letter to the Pakistan People’s Party for consultation, while the delegation of PTI and JUI consulted the Election Commission yesterday.
Yesterday, the Election Commission held a meeting with the delegation of PTI and JUI on the issue of upcoming general elections in the country.
Barrister Ali Zafar had told that in the meeting we put forward the demand to ensure the holding of elections within 90 days.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi said that our consultation with our Chief Election Commissioner continued for more than an hour in which we reiterated our position to the Election Commission that we want transparent elections within the framework of the Constitution.
