ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved a reduction of Rs 5 per unit in electricity tariff base rate and Ramzan package under the Prime Minister’s Relief Package for four months.
A meeting of ECC chaired by Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin also approved Ramzan Relief Package 2022 worth Rs. 8280 million of which 19 essential items will be provided to the Utility Stores Corporation at discounted rates across the country for the convenience of the people during the holy month.
The meeting approved the new successful Overseas Program of Successful Pakistan Program. The ECC considered and approved the Ministry of Commerce’s summary on proposed amendments to the Import and Export Policy Order 2020 for the development of an integrated tariff management system for the Pakistan Single Window.

The Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) has submitted a summary of commercial allocation of gas from Togh Field on commercial basis. The price of gas will be determined by the relevant regulator under applicable laws and policies.
