Lahore: Popular YouTuber Ducky Bhai has come forward in support of fellow content creator Rajab Butt, who is facing intense backlash over the launch of his perfume ‘295’.
Rajab Butt, who boasts over six million YouTube subscribers, came under fire as critics linked the fragrance’s name to Sections 295-A and 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), which pertain to blasphemy-related offences and hurting religious sentiments.
Following public outrage, an FIR was registered against Rajab Butt in Lahore, invoking provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and religious violations.
In response, Rajab Butt left Pakistan and performed Umrah, where he issued a public apology in front of the Kaaba.
In a video statement, he clarified that he had no intention of offending religious sentiments, saying:
“My life, property, parents, children, and every drop of blood are devoted to the Holy Prophet (PBUH). I swear that I did not do anything intentionally.”
With Ducky Bhai now voicing his support, the controversy continues to spark heated debate among fans and critics alike.
