MIRPUR MATHELO: Five police personnel including 2 officers have lost lives in an attack by armed bandits in the kacha area near Ghotki/Ubauro in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to the details gathered by MM News, more than 150 armed bandits attacked a police post Ubauro Ronti area of Mirpur Mathilo. The police post was set up in the area to ensure recover of some kidnapees.
During the attack, 5 policemen including a DSP and 2 SHOs were killed.
Talking to media, SSP Ghotki Tanveer Tunyu said 3 children were abducted from Ubauro a few days ago after which police launched an operation to recover them.
SSP Ghotki said DSP Ubauro Abdul Malik Bhutto, SHO Mirpur Mathilo Abdul Malik Kamangar, SHO Deen Muhammad Leghari and two policemen namely Jatoi Patafi and Deen Muhammad were among those martyred in the attack.
