ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued a notice to the administration of the federal territory for refusing to grant permission of holding a sit-in in capital Islamabad. PTI leader Ali Nawaz Awan had filed a petition against the authorities for not granting permission to organize a power show in Islamabad.
Senior Judge of Islamabad High Court, Justice Aamir Farooq, heard the petition of PTI.
During the course of court’s proceedings, PTI’s lawyer said that the party had applied for No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the “Haqeeqi eal Azadi March”, but the Islamabad administration was using delaying tactics into the matter.
The lawyer told the court that the PTI had applied to hold the public gathering in Islamabad on November 6 and 7.
After initial hearing, the Islamabad High Court issued notice to the Capital’s administration for tomorrow, ordering an authorized officer of the administration to appear before the bench. The hearing was later adjourned until tomorrow.
