Social media especially Instagram is not only an important source of communication and information in Pakistan but all over the world.
Millions of people globally use these platforms to communicate with people which was reportedly down for thousands of users earlier in the morning according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.
As per Reuter, more than 5,000 users reported issues with accessing the photo-sharing platform all over the world including Pakistan.
Downdetector tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform and its status reports from several sources showed 70 percent of login issues, 19 percent facing issues with the app, and 11 percent of users facing server connection issues.
To this matter, Meta which owns Instagram did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
