KARACHI: Director-General Pakistan Rangers Sindh Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhary visited different areas of the city late at night to review the law and order situation.
He visited different areas of North Nazimabad and Orangi Town and interacted with the people and inquired about the problems being faced by them. A large number of people gathered around after seeing the DG Rangers in the area. He also had tea with the residents at a local hotel during his visit.
Speaking on the occasion, the Rangers chief assured that the safety and security of citizen is the top priority of the paramilitary force.
The visit comes days after a Rangers personnel was martyred and others sustained injuries as a result of a blast in Orangi Town area.
The blast occurred near a Rangers vehicle in Mominabad area of Orangi Town. Two Rangers officials and three other people who were present at the blast site were injured in the incident.
The funeral prayers of sepoy Roshan Ali were offered on Tuesday. Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, DG Rangers Sindh, senior civil and military officials and relatives of the martyred trooper attended the funeral prayer.
He was laid to rest with full military honours. He belonged to village Budhal Khan Solangi, District Noushahro Feroz, and has four sons and a daughter
