DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has confirmed the martyrdom of 26 Pakistanis during Indian aggression and also hinted at giving a strong response to India.
In an important press conference, the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, detailed the response to Indian aggression, stating that the Pakistan Army has shot down five Indian warplanes, including three modern Rafale jets.
He confirmed that the cowardly action by India against Pakistan was carried out under the cover of darkness, targeting ordinary civilians. As a result of India’s attack, 26 people were martyred and 46 were injured in Pakistan.
The spokesperson provided details of the martyrs, saying that the most casualties, 13 individuals, occurred in Ahmadpur Sharqia, while two innocent children were martyred in Kotli, and five civilians were martyred near the Line of Control.
Three people were also confirmed to have been martyred in Mandi. However, no casualties were reported from Sialkot and Shakargarh. India has continued artillery firing across the Line of Control, which is being met with a strong response from the Pakistan Army.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry emphasized that no Indian military or reconnaissance aircraft has entered Pakistan’s airspace and the enemy has suffered heavy losses due to Pakistan’s air defense system.
He revealed that India not only targeted civilian populations but also attacked the structure of the Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Project, which he termed “water terrorism.” He stated that India’s actions would have serious consequences.
The DG ISPR said that the Pakistan Army, with the full support of the nation, is responding to every Indian attack and will continue to do so in the future.
He made it clear that there would be no misunderstanding on India’s part, and Pakistan has the capability to respond effectively, immediately, and decisively to every aggressive action by the enemy.
The spokesperson sent a message to the international community that Pakistan reserves the right to defend itself under all circumstances and will not remain silent against any terrorist or cowardly act.
