Democratic Senator Cory Booker criticized the U.S. and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), saying that the devastating hunger and suffering of civilians in Gaza is heartbreaking. He called for an immediate and substantial increase in aid to Gaza.
In a post on social media platform ‘X’, Cory Booker wrote, “The devastating hunger and suffering of civilians in Gaza, especially children, women, the sick, and the elderly, is heartbreaking.”
He stated, “To address the Gaza crisis, it is imperative to urgently and substantially provide life-saving resources such as essential food, water, and medicine, including special nutrition for those suffering from severe malnutrition. It is our collective moral responsibility to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those who urgently need it.”
The U.S. Senator criticized the U.S.-Israeli-backed organization, saying, “The strategy of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has not proven effective.”

Cory Booker also stated that aid should not end up in the hands of Hamas, even though The New York Times had reported a day earlier that the Israeli military never found evidence that the Palestinian group had seized the aid.
The U.S. Senator further stated, “Every moment of delay will result in the loss of human lives and cause irreparable harm to the health of children, pregnant women, and other civilians. We must employ all our efforts to tackle this humanitarian crisis.”
